Happy Anniversary

CAS(E) this Sketch:   #61

This weeks sketch reminded me of one of my favourite stamps, using a daisy instead of the tree.

Keeping closely to the sketch I stamped and coloured my image. The sentiment was stamped on to a banner, which was raised on 3D pads.

The finished image was also raised on 3D pads for extra definition.

It's a Boy

Less is More Challenge -   Week 155 Theme - New Baby!

Using a matching embossing folder and edgelit die I made a blue border for the edge of my card.  I cut out a circle aperture, and then stamped my pram image to fit into this space.

The sentiment has been stamped in the same colour as the border.

I've used 3D pads to raise the front of my card.

Happy Birthday

CAS.ology   Week 78: DOT

For this weeks challenge of "Dot" I thought my Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder would be ideal. I used only two colours to try and emphasis the dotty background.

I punched out three butterflies from my contrasting border, and added Rhinestones as another form of dot!
A stamped sentiment in the bottom finishes off my card.

Congratulations - Owls

CAS(E) this Sketch:   #59

For my card, I've flipped the sketch. I punched out two Owls, and these have been mounted on to my die cut branch. For a bit of fun, I added googly eyes to my Owls.

The sentiment has been stamped directly under my branch, to fit in with the sketch.

Less is More Challenge -   Week 154 OLC Hearts

One-Layer Simplicity Challenge:   #1: Restocking the Shelves

The challenge for Less is More this week is a OLC using Hearts, ideal for me today, as I had to make an engagement card for friends.

I wanted to create a frame to stamp my owl images into, so I made a heart template out of paper. This was stuck to the front of my card using some washi tape, then I repeatedly stamped my background.

After drawing a branch, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up my owls. It was only after I had stamped these owls, that I realised that they too contained a heart shape which fitted in with the challenge!!

The sentiment was stamped in the same colour as the branch to complete my card.

Winter Blues - happy birthday

Less is More Challenge -   Winter Blues

Having used this stamp and punch set to make some of my Christmas cards, I really enjoyed the challenge of using it with winter blue colours.

The background has been made with the matching embossing folder.

I cut out and scored a frame using my Simply Scored Board, and mounted my two stamped images on 3D pads, with added rhinestones for a bit of glitter!

To bring out the colour, I punched a hole through my embossed background. The sentiment has been double mounted to bring all my colours together.

friend 70

I have added an embossed background on to my white card base. I then made a tag by using my corner rounder and a hole punch, and stamped the word friend to the bottom. A piece of coordinating ribbon was attached.

My butterfly has been made by cutting out my butterfly twice, but only pushing out the excess on the top one. Some rhinestones finished this off.

To complete my card I added some leaves and a tag with 70 stamped on to it.
